Volume 6, Issue 2                                           (Web Edition)                                              February  2003

Well, it rained out the February Shoot; but 26 hardy soles showed up. We stood around and chatted a while, and then we adjourned to the Western Sizzler and met to again reflect upon our future and shooting accommodations.  When the smoke cleared, the majority of the group decided to continue the path of maintaining the group identity of the Tennessee Mountain Marauders and to shoot on whatever shooting facilities that may be available, as long as the Tennessee Mountain Marauders can be maintained as an identifiable group.  Having finished that continuing business, the group had lunch together, and then hit the trail.

March Shoot To Be At The Dayton/Rhea County Shooting Site

Directions to March Shoot Site:

Option 1 - Exit Interstate 75 at Exit 27 / Paul Huff Parkway and go north, away from the direction of Cleveland.  Go about a mile or so, and turn right at the traffic light onto Highway 60 North.  Stay on Highway 60 North until you intersect Highway 27.  It's about 22 miles on Highway 60 North to the intersection with Highway 27.

At the traffic light / intersection with Highway 27, turn left onto Highway 27 South. Drive south 4.8 miles.  The shoot site is on the right as you go South.  A Hamilton County road sign is located on the highway immediately at the edge of the shoot site.  If you pass the Hamilton County sign, you just passed the shoot site.

Option 2 - From the Chattanooga area or west of Chattanooga, take Highway 27 North to the Rhea County line. Look to the left. And you'll see the shoot site off the road about 150 yards.

Hope to see you at the March shoot!

This will be the final Marauder newsletter that Mesquite Millie and I will be publishing.  During the time we've been reporting Marauder news, scores and other stuff, it has been fun, and we have really enjoyed being a part of the Marauder family. However, there comes a time when it's time to, as John Wayne said in "The Train Robbers", throw the key in the waterbucket and ride on.  With this action, I have resigned as Executive Officer and administrative

shoot coordinator.  Tennessee Justice will continue to edit The Marauder website and a new Editor for the newsletter will be appointed by the club officers to oversee the printed newsletter and furnish content for the website.

Best Wishes and Good Shootin' to all!
