  February Meeting Notes:

The Bulldozer is at the Ranch, little behind due to weather and death in the operator’s family.  Hoping to be completed in the next week and a half!  HELP will be needed to set the range back up.  A new roadway to the range is possible, if so, it was voted to purchase gravel for the roadway.  A WORKING PARTY is needed as soon as roadway is completed to put a fence line up to keep horses off of new drive.  There was discussion on what to purchase for seeding the berms and/or range, something with little upkeep.  Pricing was sought for “Centipede” and “KY Fescue”

The new targets arrived and were put to good use at the shoot.  It is underway to build another prototype and repair will be done on the clay thrower and we’ll be purchasing new quails.

At the March shoot please update our ROSTER.  Please make changes to your address, phone numbers, email, etc.  We want to make sure we have all info for future mailings and the like!

There are a couple who would like to order TMM BADGES.  Please let Jamesie McNeyman know so he can call the order in.  His phone number is 423-479-8465 and email is:   Jneyman8465@charter.net

COWBOY RECOLLECTIONS

Yea rub it in Ron!!  "Warm and Toasty,"  "Nice warm bed."

Anyway, it was a Massacre!!  We were massacred by the weather!! That said, The hospitality of Shawnee Lee and Mrs. Dixie, are something that we all should be thankful for.  Because of the weather, they asked us inside their home to take lunch.  Its a nice thing, I think, when someone asks a bunch of muddy cowboys inside for lunch, and you got 20 people having dinner together.  I remember when I was a kid, my family is from Ft. Payne , ALA.  And the family would go there and eat at Aunt Shirley's.  They had a farm, and a house with a tin roof, and she cooked on a wood stove, and the biscuits were the best lard biscuits that a man ever ate in his life.  I remember that like it was yesterday. But it wasn't until today, when we’re sitting around the table at Mystery Dog Ranch, that I have had a similar feeling.

It wasn't such a bad day, after all.

Thank you Festus, We take this as a compliment!

We enjoyed everyone’s company.
