Eastwood's Western Movies Celebrated at June Shoot |

Were you 1 of the 62 main match shooters or several visitors at the Marauders' June shoot? If you were, then you know that we shot stages from Clint Eastwood's western movies. If you weren't there, then you missed a fun shoot. The Rocky Top Ranger wrote the 5 match scenarios, basing them on The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly .... A Fist Full Of Dollars .... Two Mules For Sister Sara ... Unforgiven .... The Outlaw Josey Wales. The shoot was heavy on pistol shootin', moderate on rifle shootin', and light on shotgun shootin' … just like ol' Clint's movie characters. |

Outrider brought his new bride to the shoot. At the early gathering before the shoot, Outrider's Best Man, Trooper George introduced the bride and announced the wedding. Trooper said that if he was the Best Man at the Wedding, why didn't the bride want him instead of Outrider. Her smile answered the question. She chose the right one. |

Fistful of Dollars marked a change in the way western heroes were
portrayed. No longer the Gary Cooper sheriff type who would
never draw first: the Man With No Name was a man of dubious
morals, who emerged as the hero more by comparison with the other
characters than by his own merits.
