SPECIAL PISTOL SIDE MATCH AT JULY SHOOT

     Want to try your expert pistol shootin' in a little different way?  If you do, come early to the July shoot.  At 8:15 am Eastern Time, ol' Trooper George will conduct a special pistol shootin' match.  The shootin' fee will be $2.  You can pay it when you do the regular shoot registration.  Just tell Mesquite Millie, Sundance, or Deadman to add the $2 to your regular shoot fee.  Don't forget to bring a little extra pistol ammo for the pistol shoot.  Pistols used must be main match, pistol caliber type with regular match lead bullets. 

MARK YOUR CALENDARS

     The next shoot will be held on July 27th.  The Buffalo Shoot starts at 8:00 am Eastern time.  The Precision Pistol Shooting Side Match will start at 8:15 am.  Posse Marshals meet at 9:00 am for a walk through of scenarios.  The Safety Meeting starts at 9:30 am. We shoot following the Safety Meeting.  PLEASE BE ON TIME AND BE PRESENT FOR THE SAFETY MEETING.  You can't shoot if you miss the safety meeting.

     If you attended the June shoot, you probably noticed that the new shooting prop / building that we announced in the May Marauder wasn't constructed.  If you didn't notice that, then please turn in your guns, or leave them at home next time 'cause you can't see well enough to be packing firearms. 

     We've had a bit of a delay.  Hopefully, it will be completed before the July shoot.  Hopefully.  When completed, it will stand on Range 2.

     Well, we had another great shoot with fine weather.  Thanks to Rocky Top Ranger for the scenarios.  As I've mentioned before, all the scenarios this year have been written by different cowboys.  So if you have something you want to shoot, send it in.  Thanks to Horseshoe John for setting up the targets. Horseshoe John could use help.  He and only 2 other persons set up the range Friday: Mad Dog Joe and Tennessee Hoss.  It was good to see our regulars back to shoot. We also had some visitors, soon to be members present.  Bill from Wyoming, now resides in Cleveland will be shooting with us.  Horseshoe John was kind enough to let him use some of his many firearms.  Thanks, Dennis.  Another was Heidi Niles, widow of Long Horn Larry Larue, Dale Niles.  It was good to see her looking well and wearing Dale's hat.  She will be shooting with us soon.  I didn't realize that she made the cookies and brownies until she was gone.  Thanks Heidi, they were great.  I ate one for every miss, and I missed a lot.  On a side note I wanted to mention The Pigeon Mountain Sporting Clays, run by Mel & Tede Huskey, at l56l Camp Road, Chickamauga, GA. 30707. 706-539-2935.  This is premier sporting clay club in our own back yard.  The setting is in the mountainous woods, with 12 different stages.  The clays are coming from every angle.  This is great shotgun fun.  Give them a call and visit their beautiful facility.
