NOVEMBER SHOOT - 70 SHOOTERS BRAVE 28 DEGREES MORNING

It was a frosty morning for our November shoot, but 70 brave cowboy & cowgirl shooters, and some sidekicks, ventured out to play the game.  Shooting scenarios produced by T-Bone & Tennessee Hoss, it wasn't long before the sound of gunshots and the smell of gunsmoke punctuated the woods out in Leadmine Valley.  You might say, "Hey! I didn't smell any gunsmoke."  But it you were standin' anywhere near ol' Dead Beat, you wouldn't say that.  All his shootin' irons was belchin' smoke.  We had several visitors with us for their first time, and two new members joined the gang.  All in all it was a teriffic day.  And as the day

Cruel Hand Luke, Top Gun-November

appreciated it.  Once again, he was the top shooter, closely followed by Cool Waters and that varmint Pleasant.  Five cowgirl shooters participated, and two of them shot Duelist.

ANNUAL MARAUDERS MEMBERS & FAMILY CHRISTMAS SHOOT & SOCIAL DECEMBER 7th
WHAT:  December shoot & Family Social Event December 7.  Safety meeting 9:30 a.m. Two stage shoot follows.  After the shootin', we eat with annual awards, awarding of Trail / Door Prizes and gifts exchange (for those who want to do this) to follow.  If you want to play the exchange gift game, bring a gift costing $10 or so or hand made and put it unwrapped under the Christmas Tree.  When names are drawn from a hat, the cowboy/cowgirl drawn has his/her choice of a gift under the tree or a gift someone else has selected, etc.  No gift can change hands more than 3 times, including the original selection.  (If you don't want to participate in that

portion of the program, that's ok. There's still a lot of goings on, and you're still eligible to win Trail/door prizes.)  FOOD:  Bring a dish of something. (Main meal food, desert, salad, etc)  Please contact Hondo and coordinate what you plan to bring, if possible. His email address is tcbaldivid@bledsoe.net   Remember, we have limited ability to heat food brought, so plan accordingly.  MEAT & DRINKS:   The club will provide the meat and drinks (soft drinks, tea, coffee - no alcoholic beverages allowed on the range site or in the clubhouse).

PLEASE CALL OR E-MAIL HONDO AND LET HIM KNOW WHETHER YOU WILL ATTEND AND HOW MANY GUESTS YOU PLAN TO BRING Remember, this is a family event, so you're encouraged to bring your saddle pal and youngsters along.

SET-UP & DECORATION:  The Christmas team,  Hondo, Mesquite Millie, Deadman, Marshal Too Tall, Sundance, and their deputies will set up the club house at the Cleveland Range after lunch on Friday, December 6.  If you want to help, come on out. (Marshal Too Tall has graciously donated loaned tables, chairs, and other equipment to help conduct this event, Mesquite Millie has donated the table covers, plates, spoons)

PRIZES FOR GIVE AWAY:  Tennessee Justice & Deadman have contacted many cowboy shooting related vendors and asked them to support our club by donating prizes to give away as Trail (door) prizes.  And the cowboy vendors have been very generous in their support.  There will be a LOT of real nifty prizes for give away.

FREE SHOOT:  There's no charge to shoot the December shoot.  It's informal and we don't keep the normal shoot results.  It's truly a fun shoot.  But bring plenty of ammo. One of the events is a "cut down the Christmas tree" shoot, in which shooters attempt to cut down the tree (a landscape timber) by shooting it down.

See you at the Christmas Shoot on December 7th!
Terry's Toys To Sponsor New Shooter Each Month Of 2003

Starting in January, T-Bone will sponsor one new shooter each month of 2003. (A new shooter is a 1st time cowboy action shooter, not just a 1st time shooter with the Marauders)  In the event there is more than one new shooter, the sponsored shooter will be determined by the luck of the draw.

T-Bone Angus, owner of "Terry's Toys", a Wild West gun store has a large assortment of single action revolvers, lever action rifles, and some shotguns.  RUGERS, WINCHESTERS, AND UBERTI.  In addition to guns, he's waiting for the arrival of the next cattle drive for a large supply of leather for holsters and stuff.  Ask for T-BONE ANGUS at the next Marauders shoot(All F.F.L. rules apply.)   Terry's Toys is a SASS affiliated store, and the hours are 4pm till 11pm weekdays.
