Howdy pards.  It was a little nippy when we started the November shoot.  The weather man said that it would be 28 degrees, and he got it right.  But it warmed up, and we had a good shoot.  Thanks to Horseshoe John and his crew for setting up the range.  The range set up crew was - Horseshoe John, Unpleasant, C - Dog, Coffee Joe, Tellico, Lady Longhorn, & Deadman.  Limp Along Charlie and
Bad Hand Callahan also came out to help, but ol'e Horseshoe and the gang had made good progress and had just finished.  Thanks to all those mentioned, and if  I overlooked anyone, thank you.  lso thanks to T-Bone and Tennessee Hoss for writing and printing the scenarios that we shot.  We also had 2 new members (a family) join. I'm sorry I don't have your names, but welcome to the Marauders.  If you have half the fun I've had with the group, you'll really enjoy your membership.

TENNESSEE HOSS - COWBOY ANGEL

TN Hoss Cowboy Anget

At the November shoot, we learned about a good citizen action led by Tennessee Hoss, of which most of us were completely unaware.  It seems that a lady in NC had custody of her daughter taken by a dip-stick judge on the basis that she was an unfit mother.  What horrendous thing did the lady do to warrant such treatment?  Well, she allowed her 13 year old daughter to participate in Cowboy Action Shooting at the Shootout At Mule Camp in Gainesville, GA.  Tennessee Hoss, somehow, learned about the miscarriage of justice, and led an effort to raise money to hire an attorney to challenge the judge's ruling.  Contacting
business friends, Hoss raised in excess of $6,000.  The judge's ruling was successfully challenged, and custody was returned to the mother.  We learned about Tennessee Hoss's actions at the November shoot, not from him, but from Cherokee Blue Eyes. Recognizing Tennessee Hoss's personal financial contribution and his leadership that turned the tide in this incident, Cherokee Blue Eyes presented TN Hoss a cowboy angel.  He quietly accepted the recognition.

In the movies we grew up on, back when the good guy always won, the hero always did good, then quietly rode off into the sunset.  Tennessee Hoss is one of those silver screen goods guys.  He did good, and quietly went his way.

We're proud to have you amongst us, Tennessee Hoss!
