I found this in an old newsletter and didn’t remember reading it and wondered if any other cowboys remembered it.
I saw an RO standing with his hand upon the shoulder,
Explaining the stage, to one of us, one a little older
I saw a youngster shooting proud, don’t call him "just a kid",
He practiced the Spirit of the Game like we all hoped we did,
I saw the posses, usually sane, both the young and old,
Dressed up and ready on the range despite the bitter cold,
I saw compadres old and new, from near and far-away,
United by just one thing, it’s called "The Cowboy Way!"

Elections are coming up
in November for 2011 Officers. If you would like to run for an office or if you
would like to nominate someone, sign up at the bank when registering for the
match. The officers are President, Vice-President, Executive Officer, Secretary,
Treasurer, Chief Range Officer, Territorial Governor (must be Life Member).
Well pards, we had a good September match. The temperature was a bit cooler and the sky was clear and beautiful. I believe the scenarios were well written and fair for all. That Too Tall gave everyone fits trying to time his departure.
Our new stage front really looks good and many cowboys commented on it. Without our members and the gracious help of Shawnee Lee we would not be able to continue. Thanks to all who helped.
With this newsletter that I hope to be monthly I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the cowboys and cowgirls who have not shot with us in a while to come out and see what’s going on at the ranch. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised.
It is election time and being a club, you the members have the privilege of electing the officers that oversee the operations of your club.
All positions can be contested, however we do have two positions open. They are Secretary and Range officer. We are accepting nominations and voting will be at the November match.

NEXT SHOOT – The Tennessee Mountain Marauders invite you to join them every THIRD SATURDAY for fun, fellowship, and a daisy of a cowboy shoot! The next shoot will be November 20, 2010 with registration, Buffalo shoot and coffee from 8:00 to 9:30 with the safety meeting at 9:30.
